Caramelized banana French toast ๐Ÿ˜Š๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ˜Ž The recipe I created this weekend and I couldn’t believe how delicious it turned out! I made it again, and again, and I’m 100% sure it’s the best French toast I’ve ever had ๐Ÿ˜‹
I’m really excited to share this recipe with you, I think it’s the perfect autumnal comfort food ๐Ÿ˜Š
Caramelized banana French toast
(makes 2 servings)
๐Ÿ”ธ4-6 slices of sourdough (depending on size)
๐Ÿ”ธ1/2 of a ripe banana
๐Ÿ”ธ1 tbsp of coconut sugar
๐Ÿ”ธ1/2 cup of almond milk
๐Ÿ”ธ1 tbsp of tapioca flour
๐Ÿ”ธsmall pinch of salt
๐Ÿ”ธ1 tsp of cinnamon
๐Ÿ”ธcoconut oil for cooking
Mash the banana in a deep plate. Add coconut sugar, almond milk, tapioca flour, salt and cinnamon and whisk with the fork until well combined. Heat coconut oil in a skillet. Dip sourdough slices in the plate with milk and banana mixture, let them soak the mixture well. Transfer to the hot skillet and cook over medium heat until golden brown and caramelized on both sides. Serve warm with yoghurt, fruits and nuts ๐Ÿ˜‹
