I hear it’s today 😄🍫🍫
Luckily my breakfast this morning was loaded with chocolate, so I can say I celebrated it properly, even though I wasn’t aware it existed 🤣
The weather here has been cooler this week and it made me crave good old cooked oatmeal 🥣
I decided to go for banana cacao flavour, topped with nut butter, fresh cherries 🍒 and melting chocolate chunks 🍫😋
I’ll leave the recipe below in case you wanna give it a try!

Banana cacao oatmeal:
1/2 cup of rolled oats
1/2 of a ripe banana, mashed
1 cup of almond milk
1/4 cup of water
pinch of salt
1/2 tsp of natural vanilla extract
1/4 tsp of cinnamon
1 heaped tsp of raw cacao powder
(optional) 1/2 tsp of maca powder
Add all ingredients, besides raw cacao and maca (if using) to a saucepan. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 8 minutes, or until desired consistency. Remove from heat and mix in raw cacao powder and, optionally, maca powder. It’s better to avoid cooking your superfoods if possible, so they don’t lose their properties 😉
Serve warm, with toppings of choice.
